Valeria Pergola is an Italian Non-invasive Consultant Cardiologist, graduated in Medicine (1997) and specialized in Cardiology (2001) with full marks and honors.

Valeria Pergola as Senior Consultant in Cardiology and Adjunct Professor in Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging at Padua University Hospital. Her previous appointment was Lead of Cardiac Imaging (echocardiography and cardiac CT), at Croydon University Hospital, London, and Consultant in Cardiac Imaging at Kings College Hospital, London and as Honorary Consultant at Royal Brompton Hospital, London from September 2016 to September 2019.

Other previous appointment (2012-2016) was Imaging Consultant at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that has the biggest Cardiac Centre in the Middle East, doing clinical and diagnostic activities in particular in Cardiovascular Imaging by using echocardiography in cardiac and cardiac-surgery divisions. I started to work at KFSH&RC in 2012 under the direction of Prof. George Sutherland.

Previously,from 2007 to 2011 I worked at Azienda dei Colli Hospital in Naples, Italy (Ranked 2nd best Italian Hospital in 2012), where I have been Director of the Outpatient clinic of High Specialized Excellence Center of Cardiac complications in infectious diseases “D. Cotugno”.

Valeria Pergola started my experience in Echocardiography in 1997. Since 1999 she started to perform TTE. In 2000 I did one year of fellowship with Prof Gilbert Habib (Past President of EACVI) at “la Timone Hospital” in Marseille, to further study on TEE and infective endocarditis.

Valeria Pergola, I have extensive experience in all different setting of clinical and research arena (ambulatory, ICU, operating room, adult congenital heart disease, and in clinical research).

She got Certification of Competence in transthoracic (Italian and European) and transesophageal (Italian) echocardiography.

She is active member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and of the Italian Society of Echocardiography.

She is member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

She got Level 2 Certification of Competence in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
