- Dr. Md Kamrul Ahsan is a professor of the Spine Surgery Unit in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
- Dr. Md Kamrul Ahsan accomplished his Diploma in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1997 and Master in Orthopaedic Surgery (MS) in 2001 from the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), under Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
- He also attained his fellow in spine surgery from Yamagata University School of medicine, Japan and Leads teaching Hospital (NHS), Leads, London, He was one of the faculty members to initiate spine surgery unit in BSMMU and is continuously serving in the field of spine surgery since 2003.
- Dr. Md Kamrul Ahsan has supervised many doctorates thesis in the Department of Orthopaedics.
- Dr. Md Kamrul Ahsan published more than 41 research papers and presented his works on many national and international platforms. He is one of the distinguished individuals of Bangladesh Spine Society and also functions as vice president of the society since 2014.
