- Dr. Hema Kanathila is currently working as a Reader in the Department of Prosthodontics, KAHERs KLE VK Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum, India, and completed her Masters in 2011.
- She did her under graduation from JSS Dental College, Mysore, and post-graduation from AB Shetty Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore.
- Dr. Hema Kanathila completed her Fellowship in Laser Dentistry from the Asian Academy of Laser Therapy, affiliated with Central Christian University in 2022.
- She has done an online certificate course in Materials in Oral health from the University of Hongkong.
- She has more than 25 national and international publications and three chapters and 2 monograms on the list. She has attended many national conferences.
- She is on the editorial board of the International Journal of medical science and clinical research studies. Her area of interest includes Fixed Prosthodontics, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, Laser Dentistry, and Herbal dentistry.
