- Dr. Arieh Y Kaufman was born in 1938 in Israel. He got D.M.D. degree from The Hebrew University and Hadassah School Dental Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel in 1962.
- He served in the Israeli Defence Army as a Dental officer.
- Dr. Arieh Y Kaufman Joined the Periodontic & Endodontic Department of The Dental Faculty, Hadassah School, The Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel where he was appointed as Senior Lecturer.
- Dr. Arieh Y Kaufman got an Endodontic Specialty Degree from The Israeli Health Ministry.
- In 1979 he joined The Department of Endodontology, School of Dental Medicine of Tel-Aviv University. He was appointed as Associate Professor.
- He served as Deputy Head of the School of Dental Medicine as well as The Director of The Yermiahu University Clinic and The Head of the Endodontic Department of Yermiahu University Clinic. Among his duties, he acted as Director of the Endodontic Graduate Program, The Director of the Dental Hygienists Course.
- He wrote 80 publications in peer review Journals and a Hebrew endodontic textbook “Applies Endodontics”.
- He served as Visiting Professor in the endodontic departments of Toronto University and Columbia University Vancouver, Canada. University of Connecticut, Health Centre, School of Dental Medicine, Farmington and Nova South-eastern University, Fort Lauderdale, USA. Prof. Kaufman received an Honorary Life Member of The Israeli Society 0f Endodontics. He Lectured at many international meetings in Europe and United States.
- In 2010 He founded the Endodontic Graduate Program in Rambam School of Dental Specialties in Haifa Israel and served as its director until 2021.
- His main interest is regenerative endodontics, root canal measuring devices and methods, and disinfection of root canals.
